Best Practice Teaching!

5th grade teacher Brad Zeh, Title I teacher Janice Pidgeon, Special Education Teacher Nancy Wilkinson, and Librarian Julia Iannello  work collaboratively to provide an outstanding English Language Arts block for their students.  The reading program that we use functions in a six day cycle.  During each cycle there are particular skills, vocabulary, and strategies that students focus on. On the 7th day an assessment is given.  The results are carefully analyzed and as result students receive small group instruction the next day.  The instruction targets individual needs. This approach  is teaching and learning at it's best.

drive their instruction!

We reviewed the results of this intervention during our team meeting today and the intervention worked!  After reteaching skills and concepts using a focused approach our students showed growth!
