Mr. Lanes Class is Creative!

Students took their multiplication to another level today.  They applied their science and math skills to make homemade glow in the dark putty!

Watch Me Go!

Thanks to Edison Leggs leadership, 3rd grade students are making an incredible difference! Their bracelet service project, supporting Watch Me Go will help Vivian Achista from Nairobi Kenya attend school.  Girls in Nairobi can only attend high school by passing the country exam and by paying a fee.  For four years of high school the cost is $2,000.   Vivian qualifies but does not have the funds.  We have been in, and will continue to have ongoing communication with Vivian.  She is extremely appreciative of our support.

Monday Morning Review

In Mrs. Lewicki's Kindergarten classroom students are learning about flat and solid shapes.  While visiting the classroom I heard students identifying and describing various shapes.  In their description students use terms such as, solid, flat, (number of) faces, and (number of) vertices.  This morning, after completing their journal they had a opportunity to do a quick Monday Morning Review.  Students worked collaboratively on the carpet to match shapes to vocabulary cards and build shape villages.
