This Wednesday our 6th Grade students became “archeologists” for a day.  Mr. Hamilton, Mrs. Johnson and student teacher, Miss Dutcher, taught several short units on different ancient civilizations in preparation of the dig.  The students worked in groups using trowels and other small instruments to uncover various items.  The items in each box represented different civilizations.  The students were challenged with matching the items they uncovered to the civilizations they represented.  Click on the video below the pictures to see the dig in action.

  1. Really loved these pictures. Thanks for supporting all the things we do and for validating the importance of it for our students. They really seemed to have a great time of it.
